ABOUT ME      Photography has always been my foremost creative passion. When I was only thirteen, I saved up enough money to purchase my first SLR camera. Since that day I have always had a camera in my hand. I am drawn to photography because of my strong passion for life, and with the gift of photography, I am able to preserve each passing, precious moment in my life and the life that surrounds me. When I am not behind the camera, you may find me spending time with my wonderful husband and our four furry children (our dogs Nika, Baxter, Gidget, and Joey). We proudly made the beautiful Portland area our home in the spring of 2007. ABOUT MY STYLE      I love capturing photos that are real. Real people, real moments, and real emotion. I try to avoid making my subjects sit in stiff poses for the camera. Instead, I gently direct them to an area and encourage them to be natural, in an effort to draw our their true personality. When selecting a photographer, I feel that the most important aspect should be the style of the photographer matching your personal vision. Select someone who’s photos strike a cord with you, and evoke emotions within. Wedding Photography For weddings my style of photography is more photojournalistic as I document the events and emotions of the day as it unfolds. My favorite part about photographing a wedding is the opportunity to capture candid moments between the bride, the groom, and their guests. I also like to incorporate a few essential positioned shots, but I always try and love to take posed shots with more relaxed, fun, and modern techniques. When a bride and groom view their wedding photos, I want them to remember the feeling and joy from that particular special moment, not the moment of the uncomfortable pose that their photographer instructed them to be in. High School Senior Portraits When shooting senior portraits, I strive to capture the personality of the senior. I believe that the photos should reflect who the senior is at this important time in their life, and to reflect any great accomplishments that they have had in their high school life. I strive to make the shoot relaxed, comfortable, and, most importantly, fun! Family Portraits For family portraits, real smiles and moments between children and their parents are what I hope to capture. I look to document the interaction and love of the family and the personality of each individual and child. Portrait sessions are done on location, and capturing your children in their home environment can help to make them more comfortable and expressive for the camera. Pet Portraits Animals and photography are my two favorite things in life, so I enjoy nothing more than combining the two in photography. For pet portrait sessions, I come to my subject's home or favorite park, making the session comfortable for them while capturing some great memories that you can cherish for a lifetime.
